Gossamer by Lois Lowry

While learning to bestow dreams, a young dream giver tries to save an 8 year old boy from the effects of both his abusive past and the nightmares inflicted on him by the frightening Sinisteeds.

A really creative idea about how we get our dreams – and our nightmares. Lois Lowry has done it again!

Dear Readers: Lois Lowry is one of my favorite authors. I had the pleasure of meeting Ms. Lowry many years ago. She autographed my copy of The Giver. Her work is amazing. I look forward to reading this one. Happy Reading!

  • I want to read this book SOOOOOOOOOOOOOO bad but I can never find it. It sounds AWSOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Mrs.Hardy have you read this book? If you have, is it good? I’ve read a book by Louis Lowry. It was good, but I’m just making sure. Have you ever read a book by Louis? If you have what was the book called? I have lots of questions.

  • Yes, Isabella, I’ve read it and really liked it. It’s kind of a neat idea about how we get our dreams – and nightmares. I’ll read anything by Lowry. If you haven’t already, you should read The Giver. That’s a great one to talk to other people who have read it too!

  • Is this book good. I have read one of Louis Lowry’s books before. I liked it a lot. Would this one be good?

    Dear Readers,
This story begins with a young boy starving for a family and haunted by the memories of his young life. The journey takes the reader through the world of dreams and how dreams and sometimes nightmares are created. The young boy, the woman, and the boy’s mother dream of the past and find their way back. Happy Reading.
