I just read this book over vacation, and thought it was a sweet story, a bit younger in style than some of the other MCBA books. If you like stories set in pioneer days, you’ll like this one.
Some of the “Wonders” Eben finds are fascinating! For instance, who ever heard of a doll that saves a young girl’s life, or a loom that magically tells a blind woman what to weave and captures a criminal? My favorite part was when Eben finds the amazing carving of the whole town of Sassafras Springs.
If you want a quick, entertaining read, try this book!
